About the role

Based in Rangiora and reporting to the HR Manager, this newly created 3-year fixed-term role (40hrs /week) will provide the right candidate with a supportive and diverse role. You will be sourcing talent for some of our specialist roles and business partner with our manager to support them as part of our people services function. You will also be providing HR and ER advisory support and leading our Performance program, as well as other people initiatives. Working across our 28 business units, you will be kept busy with no day being the same.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Attract and source talent for our specialist recruitment campaigns using internal and external platforms including social media, through proactive sourcing
  • Provide first level ER Advisory support to Managers and our key stakeholders
  • Review our Performance program make enhancements as required
  • Provide Generalist HR advice and support including drafting contracts and assisting managers with Position Descriptions
  • It would be of benefit if you are SP10 trained

About you

It's important that you enjoy the variety that comes with working as an HR Generalist, with skills in ER, recruitment, IEA preparation and projects. You will be someone who likes to be operational, hands-on and detail-oriented. You'll have sound judgement, resilience and be able to work well with ambiguity and complexity. You'll thrive on pace and change, be flexible and pragmatic in your approach and be able to deliver to deadlines. Your ability to communicate and build relationships to become a trusted partner will be critical. We like creativity and courageousness, and you can really make an impact and help to improve our HR service offering to the organisation.

Experience/qualifications required:

  • Strong and demonstrable experience as a Generalist HR Advisor (2 or more years) ideally in a fast-paced, dynamic business
  • Degree/qualification in Human resources is desirable
  • Proven working experience in providing HR advice to stakeholders and building trusted relationships
  • Passion for innovation and growth mindset
  • Outstanding communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Resilient & comfortable juggling multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
