The Waimakariri District Council is seeking a Development Planning Manager to lead a team of professionals who strive to deliver innovative thinking when developing strategies and plans to inform a contemporary and enabling District Plan.
To succeed in this role, you will be a leader of people and a collaborative team player with drive and passion both for the role and the team that you will be representing. You will take pride in our organisation and the district and look for opportunities to show that in all that you do. You will have demonstrated your skills in providing thought leadership and high-quality advice on district development strategies, integrated development of policies, strategies and plans to achieve resource management objectives and great community outcomes.
We are looking for someone who is authentic, believes in continuous improvement and welcomes new learning and experiences by sharing, contributing and cooperating with their Team and wider colleagues. You will be a community-focused person who has outstanding interpersonal skills to relate to, and work effectively with, a diverse range of people.
