Administration role working within a busy department​

Varied role in a supportive team that makes a difference

The Council is seeking a skilled team player to join our busy Administration Team, as part of the Governance Unit, based in Rangiora. This position is part-time consisting of three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The Administration Team provides an efficient word processing and desktop publishing (DTP) service for all Council activities. Work includes advertising, flyers and brochures, general correspondence, formatting and compilation of a wide range of documents, reports and agendas. Involvement with civic ceremonies is also required.

To secure an interview you must have:

  • Essential knowledge of In-Design to a high level of understanding and with demonstrable skills.
  • High accuracy word processing with attention to detail for creative desktop publishing including proof reading and grammar.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills along with a proven ability to come up with pragmatic solutions and work within tight timeframes.
  • Previous Council knowledge would be an advantage to enhance your capability to hit the ground running, as would knowledge of the full Adobe Suite, Creative Cloud 2017.
